On Thursday I was treated to breakfast in bed by Ed before we made our way across town to beautiful St Paul’s Cathedral. We climbed up 528 stairs and through the Whispering Gallery to the Golden Gallery and looked out over the city of London from the top of the dome.
We met Ed’s cousin Erica at the Borough Market for lunch where we feasted on grilled chicken and lamb wraps and refreshed ourselves with a Pimms. Erica was also able to get us free tickets to a number of London sights and we’re looking forward to catching up with her again for dinner next week.
Next stop was the Tower of London where we had photos with Yeoman Warders (also known as Beefeaters) and saw the dazzling Crown Jewels.
After another 20,000+ steps we were well and truly done for the day so made our way home once more for an early night. Poor Ed has a bit of jet lag and we’re hoping he will be able to stay awake past 8pm for Les Mis on Saturday night!
