A note from Ed – Drought breaker

Sunday was a very hot day and we used it to catch up on a bit of R and R. We caught a train out to Farringdon and then walked to a cafe called Caravan where we met up with Sarah Sheer and a couple of her friends for brunch.

We all then headed to a pub in Hammersmith called “The Crabtree” to watch the Wimbledon final in the men’s singles. Kate and I stayed for a couple of hours but not being able to get a good spot we walked back to our apartment to watch the end of the second set and then the third.

Andy Murray reigned supreme over Novak Djokovic to break a 77 year drought on a day that the Brits will remember forever. He played out of his skin, running down everything on one of the hottest days through summer and looked exhausted by the end. The final score 6-4 7-5 6-4.

  1. Thanks Ed. Great news. We were too busy exploring Florence on Sunday to stop and watch the tennis. We are now sitting overlooking the med on Ponza island off the coast of Italy. If you two have a chance try to take a trip to Ponza. We only booked 3 nights in the town of La Forne. Marnie would like to cancel our accommodation in Rome to stay here longer. Last night we watched the sun set over the water from our balcony. Magic. love Tania.xxxx

  2. Darling Edward, this reminds me of your wonderful footy tipping round ups each week. I bet there is a buzz in the air from Sir Andy’s win! Love to you both, Us xxxx

  3. Hi Katie and Edward. So glad you are having lots of fun experiences and really seeing the sights. Explore on!
    Love from Bron xx

  4. Dear Ed, we have some issues with the IW Loader at Hay Point.
If you could please return immediately, we are happy to pay in food from the Mount P Tavern.
    Cheers.
